Union Landscape’s EPDM Flooring Renewal Project at Commonwealth

Union Landscape was awarded a replacement of EPDM rubber flooring project for 13 existing play areas at Commonwealth.

Our scope of work for this project starts with the dismantling of existing deboned EPDM, laying of an SBR base, sketching out our custom EPDM designs and lastly, the laying of the coloured EPDM granules.

Scope of Work

1.     Dismantling of Existing EPDM Rubber Flooring:

The first step of our renewal project is the removal of the existing EPDM rubber flooring. Our team skilfully removes the existing flooring with close to zero disruption to the surrounding neighbourhood.

2.     Laying of SBR Base:

The next step will be the laying of the Styrene Butadiene Rubber (SBR) base. We chose SBR as our base for the EPDM rubber flooring due to its strong absorption and durability, making it the perfect base for the new EPDM flooring.

3.     Sketching of Custom EPDM Designs:

After laying the SBR base, we will sketch out the EPDM design before laying the coloured granules.

Union Landscape came up with various designs for the Town Council to select. Our designs come with vibrant colours and engaging patterns that showcase each site's unique identity.

4.     Laying of Coloured EPDM Granules:

The final step of our renewal project is the laying of the coloured EPDM granules.  Union Landscape’s EPDM granules is vibrant and UV-resistant, allowing us to create aesthetic and safe play areas for the residents to use.

Conclusion

Union Landscape is very grateful to have the opportunity to work on this replacement of EPDM rubber flooring project for the Commonwealth neighbourhood.  We will continue to upgrade and build safe and vibrant playscapes for Singaporeans.
