Union Landscape resurfaces the Basketball Court at North Bridge Road

Union Landscape has been tasked with upgrading the existing basketball court at North Bridge Road.

The objective of this project is to lay a new and vibrant acrylic coating, for a more vibrant and safe playing experiences for the residences at North Bridge Road.

Scope of Works:

1.     Scarify off Existing Coating:

Before we start laying the new acrylic coating, the first step in this aesthetic transformation is scarifying off the existing worn-out coating. We obtained a clean slate on the concrete base by stripping away the existing layer efficiently.

2.     Patching of Water Ponding:

Uneven surfaces are a common sight that aged courts with water ponding issues face. After scarifying off the existing coating, we jet-washed the court to mark out the existing areas with water ponding, which we patched to ensure a levelled base.

3.     Slurry Base Coat:

Before the laying of the colour coat, we applied a slurry base coat, which is a mixture of primer, cement and sand. This slurry base coat is laid to ensure the coating adheres effectively to the court’s surface. The base coat also acts as a canvas for the upcoming layers, acting as a smooth and adhesive layer.

4.     Colour Coat Application:

Union Landscape has a wide range of colour options, as this project showcases. We used 4 colours for this court to increase the aesthetic appeal for the residents, giving the basketball court at North Bridge Road a vibrant makeover.

5.     Game Lines Marking:

The last step before completing this project where to mark the basketball court game lines. With over 20 years of sports surfacing experience, our team can accurately mark the game lines based on international standards, ensuring the games played on the court will be enjoyable and fair.

After 2 weeks of hard work, our team at Union Landscape has completed the resurfacing works for the basketball court at North Bridge Road.
